"WWE '12 is
a sports game for the Xbox 360 and PS3 console in which the player can
simulate taking part in the kind of wrestling action and rivalries
between fighters that are familiar from televised wrestling shows. The
game was classified '12' for moderate sporting violence, language and
sex references.
The wrestling action mirrors the stylised, choreographed fighting seen in televised wrestling. Bouts generally take place in regular rings and cages, with some of the fighting occasionally spilling outside the ring or taking place backstage as part of the 'grudges' between fighters that are set up by the various story-lines. The sporting violence is naturally a major feature of the game but the blows, kicks and wrestling holds show little detail, and nor do the attacks with 'weapons' such as chairs, ladders, knuckledusters and sledgehammers. The game lacks any images of bloody injury.
